The room had decent space that felt cozy for a couple. Special charm came from the vintage decor that added a unique touch to the stay.
The bathroom had some real quirks. The toilet struggled to flush properly, and the plug unit in the sink required some manual pulling. I noticed black mould above the shower and a broken extractor fan that just wouldn’t clear the air. In the bedroom, the desk lamp was out, and with only one power socket visible, charging devices by the bed was a nuisance. The early morning noise from outside, especially with lawn contractors cutting grass right outside our window around 08:35, was less than ideal after a late night out. There was also a damp smell in the hallway that didn’t exactly add to the appeal.

The small double room was cozy with a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, and tea/coffee maker. We enjoyed great Scottish food at reasonable prices. The breakfast was a highlight, with freshly baked pastries and a variety of organic juices. Plus, the free private parking made it super convenient.

I had a cozy two-night stay in a Small Double Room, where I really enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the warm cup of tea delivered to my room. The hotel has a nice lounge for relaxing and a lovely garden area to unwind in. Just a heads up, my room had a little mould around the window, but it didn’t take away from my overall experience. 😊

My stay was pleasant overall, as I enjoyed the welcoming ambience and the high-quality breakfast, which included freshly made items. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making it feel like a home away from home. the room felt a bit dated and could use some updates to enhance comfort.
